A new name, a fresh start
The thing about annualizing monstrously successful shooter franchises is that they reach their fatigue point quickly. After more than half a decade of consecutive Call of Duty releases, we're ready to see the next installment in the franchise take a few risks and surprise us with something new. We know its a stretch, because, you know, Call of Duty sells. It sells quite a lot, actually, and Activision wouldn't risk millions on dramatically changing its breadwinner.
